Last week, Cyndi Lauper was honored by the National Runaway Switchboard for her work helping the homeless.
At the group’s annual benefit held in Chicago, the singer was presented with a Spirit of Youth trophy for her support of the cause through her True Colors Fund.
Last year, Lauper flipped the switch to turn the Empire State Building green for National Runaway Prevention Month, and she’s also recorded a public service announcement to promote the organization’s services helping runaway youths and those living on the streets in America.
