The Houston area Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen restaurants will recognize three of the Houston Fire Department’s trailblazers during the eighth annual Thanksgiving awards presentation.
This year, Popeyes will honor three trailblazers within the Houston Fire Department. The honorees are: Willie Bright (Retired): one of first African-American Houston Fire Department Firefighters; E. A. “Eddie” Corral (Retired) one of first Hispanic Houston Firefighters and first Hispanic Fire Chief; and Assistant Chief Lisa Campbell, First African-American Female Engineer Operator for the Airport Rescue Team, First Captain in HFD and First African-American Female Assistant Chief in Texas Houston.
This year’s presentation will take place at Fire Station 28, located at 3000 Chimney Rock on Tuesday, November 22 at 10:30am.
Popeyes locations will also be providing turkeys to fire stations throughout Houston for Thanksgiving dinner as a way of thanking the men and women who are working on the holiday to keep families safe while at home enjoying the holiday.
