The Black Eyes Peas have won a legal battle over their 2009 hit song “Boom Boom Pow”.

Last year, the band found themselves slapped with a lawsuit from musician Phoenix Phenom.

Phenom, real name Ebony Latrice Batts, accused the band of copyright infringement claiming the group used parts of her song Boom Dynamite, which she claims to have submitted to the Black Eyed Peas’ Interscrope Records Label.

The case went to court last week in California.  On Friday, District Judge John F. Walter ruled in favor of the band and issued a judgement tossing out Phenom’s claim.
