Rumor has it Ashanti is in line to replace Fergie as the lone female member of the Black Eyed Peas.
Eurweb reports Fergie plans to take an indefinite leave of absence from the group to focus on starting a family with her hubby, actor Josh Duhamel.
Ashanti’s debut is slated to take place after the group’s last scheduled show on November 23rd.
Reportedly, Ashanti has been touring with the group for the past month on their world tour. She’s meshed well with the group and according to insiders, will be a perfect fit.
An official announcement is expected sometime this month.
